@bliare @Guest It seems bus from Beijing to Erenhot has stopped operation. However, we have no way to confirm this, people have interest to take this bus can go to Beijing Xinfadi Station to consult people there.

@Dustin You are advised to go from Beijing Capital International Airport to Beijing Yongdingmen Bus Station to take the bus for Erenhot as Yongdingmen Station is easy to reach comparing to Xinfadi Station. From Beijing Capital International Airport, you can take airport bus line 2 to go to Beijing South Railway Station firstly. Riding time is about 2 hours and ticket price is CNY 30 Yuan per person. Yongdingmen Station is 700 meters northeast to Beijing South Railway Station and You can walk there in 15 to 30 minutes.

I want to go to Erenhot -Zamiin Uud- Ulaanbaatar. I read on your website Xinfadi bus station buses go to Erenhot. Is this accurate? How do I get from Beijing International airport to the correct bus station if I want to go to Erenhot? Airport express and then subway or bus? Thank you.

@Mar Beijing to Erenhot buses run everyday as long as weather allows. Buses leave from either Beijing Yongdingmen Station or Beijing Xinfadi Station. Different stations have different buses. Even though we can't confirm, they most likely have the same station in Erenhot. Only bus that leaves from Beijing Yongdingmen Station accept online reservation and you will have to purchase tickets yourself directly if you want to book bus that leaves from Beijing Xinfadi Station. Bus operators on the route Beijing-Erenhot are Chinese and the national holiday in Mongolia has no influence to the normal bus operation and you don't need to worry about this.

@Casey no, we don't know this. Personally, I think you can stay at the bus until dawn so that you can cross border then. But I am not sure if the driver allows you to do so or not since i have no experience to travel this way. Travelers know this please share your experience so that we can help Casey to figure out a solution as they are traveling with child.

It appears that the bus arrives around 330. That is very early in the morning. Do you know if there are places to stay the night so I can cross the border into Mongolia that day? We have two adults and one child 8 years old.
