Even though I am not allowed to predict ticket availability, I personally think things will not be that difficult as you imaged. Tickets should not be a big problem.

Hello -- we are going to be traveling around Sept 8-16 between Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri La.
There is a holiday on September 13.
My question is: do buses sell out (no tickets)? And. if so, is this common?
