We don't have the final answer for the first question. It can take you one day or two days to travel from Daocheng Yading to Chengdu by the bus. If road condition is good and the bus runs smoothly without meeting any traffic jams and etc. , the driver can complete the journey the same day and you will be able to reach Chengdu Xinnanmen Station at midnight. Otherwise, the driver may choose to separate the journey into two days and passengers like you will have to spend one night in either Kangding or Luding. Arrangement for the second option is summarized like this: leaving Daocheng Yading at 6:10 in the early morning, arriving Yajiang at 13:00 and stop there for half an hour to let passenger to have lunch and etc. It then arrives Xinduqiao at around 14:00 and arrive Kangding at around 20:30 and arrive Luding at around 22:00. Travelers will then have to find their hotel themselves near Luding Bus Station and continue the journey again early next morning.
Our advice is that you should consult the driver how will the trip is arranged and if you will likely arrive Chengdu the same day.

I am from Thailand. We like to plan for bus returning from Daocheng to Chengdu and have a few question for you as follow;
1. https://www.chinabusguide.com/daocheng-to-chengdu.html from your Website, it said the bus will take 10.50 hr departing at 6.10 am. meaning that I should be arriving Chengdu bus station by the same day at 17.00 pm, is this correct? (some other website said we need to overnight in Kanding then arriving Chengdu on second day, not on the same day.) Please help to confirm other follow on travel arrangement.
