Zhangjiagang Bus Travel Advice


Zhangjiagang has two bus stations. One is known as Zhangjiagang Bus Station and another is known as Gangcheng Bus Station.

Zhangjiagang Bus Station locates at the junction of Huachang South Road and Dongyuan Road.
Affiliated to Suzhou Bus Transportation Group Inc, Zhangjiagang Bus Station is a national class bus station which occupies an area of 95 Mu.
The bus station has state of the art facilities including bus information display system, public broadcasting service, computertized ticket selling machine, inter-province online bus ticket booking system, CCTV Monitoring System, burglar alarm systems, fire alarm control system, automatic switching power supply system and central air conditioning system.

Zhangjiagang Bus Station has 15 ticket windows, 18 entrance gates and 25 departure areas. It sends more than 700 buses with the ridership of 10,000 to 30,000 per day. Its bus routes are reachable to 136 cities and counties in Liaoning, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Chongqing, Shaanxi, Hubei, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hunan, Fujian and Guangdong.
As the air terminal of Zhangjiagang City, it has scheduled buses for Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Wuxi Shuofang International Airport.

Ticketing

Zhangjiagang Bus Stations sells tickets both online and offline, that is, you can purchase ticket directly from ticket window of the bus station or through some online travel agencies such as China Bus Guide.Com.
To international travelers, you will have to submit passport information to purchase ticket as all transportation tickets are sold under real name system in China according the regulation.
Zhangjiagang Bus Station sells tickets maximum 7 days in advance.

As a 2nd class station, Zhangjiagang Gangcheng Bus Statoin locates at No. 18, Hexi South Road in Yangshe Town (张家港市杨舍镇河西南路18号). It has almost 80 lines, of which, 69 are long distance routes for neighbouring cities in Jiangsu as well as Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Henan, Hubei, Jiangxi direction.
City buses running for Gangcheng Bus Station are 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 13, 201, 203, 207, 215, 221 and 222.
